Carlsberg Singapore commits to UN Women’s Empowerment Principles on women’s empowerment and gender equity

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, Carlsberg Singapore proudly joins the global movement for gender equity by signing the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) — a set of guiding principles offering a roadmap for businesses to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community.

This milestone reaffirms the company’s commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) and aligns Carlsberg Singapore with the Carlsberg Group, which is already a WEPs signatory — reinforcing collective support across markets.

Caroline Moreau, General Manager of Carlsberg Singapore, officially signed the principles, stating:

“We believe that diversity is our strength. It fuels sharper insights, richer perspectives, and adaptive leadership—allowing us to thrive in an ever-evolving business landscape. The beer industry has long been male-dominated, but Carlsberg is driving change by embedding gender equality into our global strategy and local markets. At Carlsberg Singapore, we are leading by example—with the appointment of our first female Managing Director in 2022, a leadership team that is now 57% female, and 37.5% female representation across the organisation as of 2024. Together, let’s empowHER—for a stronger, more inclusive and better tomorrow.”

This step is also in line with Carlsberg’s commitment as a signatory of the UN Global Compact, upholding its 10 principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption—including gender inclusion and empowerment.

By signing the WEPs, Carlsberg Singapore not only joins a global community driving progress but also amplifies its role in shaping a fairer, more inclusive future—where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive.
